HOW TO BE SAVED
1. See what Jesus said about mankind:
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. - John 3:16
2. Understand the purpose of what Jesus did:
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. - Romans 5:8
3. Acknowledge that you, like all others, are a sinner:
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; - Romans 3:23
4. Know the result of a sinner who does not repent:
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. - Revelation 20:15
5. Make the decision for yourself:
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. - Romans 6:23
6. Call upon the name of The Lord Jesus:
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. - Romans 10:13
Not sure how to do this? Here is a sample prayer. What you say is not as important as you opening your heart to Jesus and allowing Him to enter in:
"Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and deserve to go to Hell. I believe that you died to take away my sin. Please come into my heart and save me. I am trusting you to forgive my sin and take me to Heaven when I die. Amen."
7. Be secure in the fact that if you did accept Jesus into your life, you can never lose the free gift you have received:
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. - John 10:28-29
If you have called upon Jesus to save you, we would love to rejoice with you as a part of the celebration of your new life! Call us, email us, or visit us in person to share what Jesus did in your life on your Day of Salvation. You will want to tell as many as will hear about your experience and new knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ!
